Scott Ellis Rainbow Charters

A Message from Captain Scott Ellis:

"I am a fourth-generation fisherman, and my family has been fishing out of Ponce Inlet for well over than 50 years. I started fishing very young with my father, grandfather, and older brother and worked as a mate and have fishing ever since. I have run boats to places like Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas. I chose to follow the family tradition of deep-sea fishing in the Ponce Inlet area because I love the adventure of being on the ocean and I truly enjoy watching my customers experience the excitement of reeling in a great catch."

Rainbow Charters is one of Ponce Inlet's longest running charter fishing businesses, operating for more than 50 years in the area. We offer a wide range of fishing trips, starting at a 4-hour day trip, all the way to a 12-hour adventure for the most seasoned anglers. Our Captain's goal is to provide you with the best experience regardless of what your fishing skills are, and our first mate is exceptionally skilled at helping all of our anglers with whatever help they may need.

For your fishing trip you will be fishing on a 39’ deep-sea fishing vessel with a 365 HP Caterpillar engine. The Rainbow II is a sturdy, well laid out vessel that provides a safe, fun, and comfortable fishing trip. She is equipped with GPS, fish finder, all needed tackle, fishing rods and reels, bait, outriggers, on-board bathroom, seating for all passengers, and all necessary safety equipment.

Go after a variety of Snapper, Mackerel, Amberjack, Barracuda, Triggerfish, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Grouper, Tuna, and Sailfish, among other species. Offshore trips can take you as far as 50 miles off the coast, so you’ll have the chance to target the bigger game fish the Gulf Stream has  to offer on our longer range trips.

Everything you need fishing wise is included in the price, but please don't forget to bring your own personal snacks, lunches, and beverages.  Make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, non-slip footwear, and a hat. If you think you might get seasick, be sure to take medicine beforehand! Don't forget your camera to catch those special shots!

Rainbow Charters Welcomes you Aboard & Looks Forward to Spending a Memorable Day with You out on the Water.
